Would the cliché of the spending woman be about to fall? According to an Odoxa study conducted for LesFurets.com, a comparative insurance site, women could manage their budget more intelligently than men. Housing, the Internet, telephone, energy, insurance ... constrained expenses weigh an average of 857 € per month in the purse of women against 965 € in that of men. As for insurance, idem, women would be much more ants than cicadas:
- Women spend an average of 55 € per month on their home insurance , compared with 63 € for men.
- Women spend 93 € per month on average for their complementary health , compared with 97 € for men.
- Women spend € 70 per month on average for their car insurance against € 77 for men.

Why this price difference? Just because women use tricks to spend less. Followers of empty granaries (43% of women surveyed go there regularly against 34% for men) and bartering (20% against 17%) women surveyed by the study Odoxa also like to hunt bargains on net.
- They are 60% using promotional codes to bring down prices against 50% of men.
- 51% of women surveyed hunt bargains on second-hand resale sites compared with 47% of men.
- Private sales are also a great success: 40% of women buy them regularly compared to 33% of men.

Although men are outstanding negotiators (44% of men negotiate prices against 31% of women), women finally know how to better manage their wallets and optimize their spending.
