The French more fashionistas than the English?

This is in any case what reveals a survey carried out for Shopcade * (a web platform allowing to follow and to buy objects fashion and beauty) and published at the end of May 2016. Because yes, Eurostar, from one another, our clothing habits are not the same. In terms of shopping, French women rely on originality (33%) while the English women rely mainly on cutting clothes (45%).

This poll also reveals that to find new fashion trends, the French take 49% example on the looks of stars while 36% of the English women scour the shopping websites . But when it comes to answering the question "Do you think you know it in fashion?" , the gap is widening: 94% of French women answer "yes" against only 54% of English women .

Using fashion to reveal one's personality

But despite all these differences, there is a place where French women and English women come together in fashion: for them both, the look of clothing is above all made to be oneself and well in its sneakers . And if our two cultures like shopping, this practice is still relatively more present among the French women : 25% of them are shops more than 1 day per week against 23% of the English women.

* Shopcade interviewed 2258 French and 218,576 English on Facebook from May 9 to 23, 2016. The profiles of the respondents are representative of the national populations, aged 18 years and over. 59% women and 41% men.
