Paying with your phone is possible

The new iPhone 6 officially introduced on September 9, 2014, integrates an NFC chip. NFC = Near Field Communication or communication in a nearby field.

NFC technology allows contactless payment, and thus opens up an additional functionality to Apple's iPhone 6.

The NFC payment, how does it work?

Backed by the major players in credit cards like Visa, Mastercard and American Express, the NFC payment works much like our credit and debit cards but without contact. To pay at the checkout of a store, it would be enough to put his iPhone 6 near the reader to save the payment. No need to download a mobile application beforehand.

In order for the NFC payment to work, you only have to make sure that the phone has NFC technology and activate it (as you activate its Bluetooth network).

A technology that BlackBerry had already integrated 2 years ago on some of its smartphones.

With Apple's iPhone 6, the non-contact payment method NFC should be democratized in the stride. Large retailers like McDonald's, for example, are already getting ready to do so.
