What's the point ? A 3D printer reproduces a 3D drawing object in volume. For example, architects use it to make their models. The process is simple, once the design finalized on the computer the file is sent to the printer which, stratum by stratum, builds the mockup. It's like an old-fashioned fax that, line by line, reproduced the document that was being sent.

From the pros to me, there is only one step. We go beyond the 3D printer if we master 3D drawing software (free and accessible if you take your time). But above all it is necessary to have the creative fiber, because it is not the software that will give us ideas of realization in 3D.

Concretely what do I do with my 3D printer? Small plastic objects, hardly bigger than a dozen cm for a "home" printer. If you go through a professional, you can create more voluminous things and especially in various materials (ceramics, cement, resins, metals ...) their 3D printers being obviously more robust.

The 3D printer without engaging. We try it on Sculpteo.com. The French site proposes to realize our works, but also offers the possibility of personalizing creations of designers. For example a pretty espresso ceramic cup at 39 € or a shell for cell phone around 25 €.
