Fly-half Brandon Thomson has revealed his delight after agreeing a permanent move to Glasgow Warriors, subject to a medical.

The 22-year-old, who can also play at full-back, enjoyed a brief loan spell with the Pro12 outfit last season but did enough to earn himself a two-year deal ahead of the new season.

New coach Dave Rennie has been keen to bolster his ranks at Glasgow, who have traditionally struggled when their Scotland stars head off for international rugby.

Thomson is the latest addition to the squad, subject to the medical, and the former Stormers star is looking forward to getting started.

He told the club's official website: "I'm very excited to be heading back to Scotstoun. I really enjoyed my short stint there earlier in the year and I'm looking forward to many more good times.

"The relationships I built in Glasgow was definitely a big contributing factor to going back.

"They are a great bunch of guys and made me feel at home right from the start."
