The rounding, the solidarity reflex

The rounding at the cashier lands on the payment terminals of the 330 Sephora stores in France very soon. Now you can make a good deed by making a purchase at Sephora: it will be possible to round up the amount of his shopping just before composing his credit card code. Example: for € 39.50 of purchases, the customer can choose to pay € 40 and therefore make a micro-donation of 50 centimes (the maximum donation authorized by Sephora, to attract as many customers as possible) an association. Sephora has chosen to join Tina Kieffer's association, "All in School" , which helps girls attend school in Cambodia .

Rounding, a microDON initiative

The rounding to the cashier in favor of associations already exists in several brands such as Franprix , Nature et Découvertes or Adidas . Proposed by the company microDON (founded in 2009), this solidarity initiative made it possible to raise in 2015 more than 1 million euros . It can also be applied to online purchases, wages or bank statements in addition to the electronic payment terminal physically present in stores.

The actions of the association Tous à l'école

After having received the support of Christian Delacroix and Delacre , Charlotte with the strawberries , Marie-Claire and the Little x L'oréal Paris , it is the turn of Sephora to engage a little more with "Tous à l'école" . The association has indeed been supported for 5 years by the cosmetics department which regularly organizes in-house collection operations. All the funds collected help to accompany the students of the Happy Chandara pilot school in Cambodia (opened in 2006). Founded in 2005 by journalist Tina Kieffer, the association wants to educate defenseless girls against forced marriages , prostitution and sexual exploitation to give them weapons of defense through the school.
