Sometimes, just a few tricks to give a second life to our makeup products whether they are broken, damaged or almost finished. Proof by 4.

My lipstick stick broke

The stick of lipstick that breaks, it's not that rare! To bring it back to life, just heat it lightly with a lighter or a match , at the break (on the piece of lipstick alone, not on the one that contains the case) to melt it a little and re-glue it on its basis . Obviously, it should not be melted down to make it liquid otherwise the maneuver will be impracticable. Then, it is allowed to cool for about ten minutes in the fridge, history that it has time to solidify .

Alternatively, if the color of the lipstick allows it, you can also place the broken tip in a small box and use it as a cream blush.

My powder or highlighter case broke

If the highlighter casing falls apart, it does not forgive, rather than throw it away, it can be transformed to give it another use . In other words, the work is continued and it is pillaged completely, until a very fine powder is formed . You can then mix a little with its cream or oil for the body for a scintillating effect on the skin. The same applies to the compact powder which is reduced to ultrafine powder and which can then be used as free powder or to matify its lipstick.

My mascara gets very dry

To restore suppleness to a mascara that dries out or comes to an end of life, a small drop of castor oil is slipped into the tube. This makes it possible to fluidize the material that remains to make it last longer. Moreover, the benefits of this oil are numerous for our lashes : it nourishes and thickens them, the castor oil favoring, among others, the regrowth of hair .

Alternatively, once the mascara tube is finished, it can be cleaned thoroughly and used as an eyebrow brush .

M on nail polish is all pasty

Exactly as castor oil can prolong the life of a mascara, a few drops of solvent (directly injected into the bottle) can help our nail varnish to replenish for a turn. This tip is also very practical to fluidify the varnish which tends to thicken as it grows old and becomes almost unusable. Obviously not to be counterproductive, we make sure not to put too much, one or two drops do the trick.
