Acupuncture, acupressure, luxopunture, what do they have in common ?
All these methods actually stimulate the same reflex points , where the tensions blocking the vital energy accumulate. In Chinese medicine , stimulating these points improves the flow of energy ( yin and yang ) and, at the same time, the health and balance of body and mind.
Acupuncture, acupressure, luxopunture, their differences?
The most medical: acupuncture . Practiced for millennia, it is one of the branches of Chinese medicine. It uses very fine needles that the acupuncturist plants at very precise points in connection with organs and viscera.
The most accessible: the acupressure . It is a technique more inspired by the Indian branch of medicine. The fingers serve as tools. They support or palpate the points of interest.
The most modern: luxopuncture . Recently developed, it is a technique that uses probes equipped with infrared rays to stimulate the reflex points .

If these methods can not cure organic diseases (cancers, infarction, etc.), they are useful for improving the functioning of organs . Acupuncture can relieve multiple ailments such as digestive disorders , migraines , etc. The acupressure is rather used for relaxation . As for the luxopuncture, it answers four specific problems: overweight , smoking , stress and sleep disorders .
Who practices Acupuncture, acupressure, luxopunture?
In France, acupuncture can only be performed by doctors . The digipuncture is used by the professionals of well-being (masseurs, beauticians, etc.). How much does it cost ?

What are the contraindications?
It is better to avoid digito and luxopuncture in case of pregnancy, serious illness or epilepsy. On the other hand, in acupuncture, the doctor will decide whether he can treat you or not.
