Seven major chakras

The word chakras, which means "wheels" or "disks" in Sanskrit, represents for Hindus all the invisible energies of the human body.

The ancient texts of Ayurvedic medicine enumerate 88,000 distributed throughout the body, among which seven are considered major.

Energy flows from one chakra to the other by invisible or nadis channels, swirling at the passage of the wheels and up from the sacrum to the fontanelle. They are sometimes also represented by lotus flowers that open and close over the breath.

"A physical or moral ill-being can obstruct one or more chakras and interrupt the flow of energies, stimulating them to restore your tone and alertness ," says Dr. Ayurvedic doctor Dr. Shylesh Subramanya.

A separate role for each chakra

Each chakra corresponds to a zone of the body, organs, emotions, physical and psychic disorders and a color as detailed by our expert:

  • At the base of the spine, the root chakra (red color) governs our basic instincts . Linked to metabolism and the lymphatic system, it is associated with safety, family and the feeling of rooting.
  • Below the navel, the sacred chakra (orange color), linked to the kidneys and intestines, governs sensitivity, sexuality and creativity .
  • Above the navel, the solar plexus chakra (yellow color), linked to the pancreas and liver, reflects self-esteem, spontaneity, confidence.
  • In the center of the chest, the heart chakra (green color), linked to the circulatory system, acts on emotions, gratitude, understanding.
  • In the laryngeal region, the throat chakra (light blue color), linked to the thyroid gland and voice, is associated with the ability to express one's convictions and feelings.
  • Above the root of the nose, the third eye chakra (dark blue color), linked to the pituitary gland, eyes and nervous system, represents intuition and intellect.
  • At the top of the head, the crown chakra (purple color), related to the brain, memory and concentration, relates to spirituality, inner wisdom, self-knowledge.

A purifying care to clean the negative energies

Largely open on lush vegetation "to feel the earthly force better" says Shylesh Subramanya, wooden pavilions serve as a backdrop for protocols to rebalance inactive or hyperactive chakras.

"Questionnaire, dialogue, taking pulse allow me to determine the" dosha " (vital energy or mood: Vatta, Pitta, Kapha) of the person and the failing chakras, he continues, for example if you are stressed for financial, family, professional reasons, I recommend the ritual Muladhara (root chakra in Sanskrit) .It is often the one that is necessary to work first ".

Dressed in a sarong, care begins sitting on a pierced stool, from which emanate smoke incense and benzoin that clean the negative energies. A deep back massage follows, during which the therapist alternates Indian oils with relaxing virtues and herbal pouches, before placing Tibetan singing bowls around the sacrum.

Sound and vibrations will help evacuate tensions. Once on the back, the oily massage ends with hot stones positioned on the seven chakras.

Massages and anti-gravity yoga classes in addition

Another ritual, the "Sahasrara" (which means crown chakra in Sanskrit).

It begins with a kundalini massage (lukewarm oil on the vertebral axis and plantar reflexology on the points connected to the chakras). Then, continue with a modeling of the head with hot oil with pressure on the points "marma" (energy points), before the installation of a capillary mask with clay.

Objective: strengthen the energy channels and regain inner serenity.

The seven proposed rituals, personalized according to the chakra to be realigned and the dominant dosha, are supplemented by dietary recommendations.

To perfect their benefits, anti-gravity yoga classes are recommended. Hanging hammocks at low height allow aerial postures that relieve tension and promote the production of dopamine.
