What terrain do I run on?
In the city,
most of the time, you run on bitumen, hard ground that requires sneakers whose soles have maximum cushioning.
In the countryside, to run, it is better to opt for a pair of running shoes with light soles, notched and reinforced.
Warning : the thin soles are reserved for the initiates of the race on short distances (such as the sprint).

What is my weight?
The heavier we are
, the more our sneakers need to cushion shocks and impacts (otherwise, beware of the joints). Depending on the speed of the race, the body is obliged to support from 3 to 8 times its weight with each stride. To preserve back and joints when you are overweight, it is better to opt for a running shoe with thick soles and excellent cushioning.

What basketball compared to the shape of my foot?
Broad, thin ...
each foot has its peculiarities. Namely: it swells and extends 5 to 8 mm during our jogging. Also better to provide an extra size when choosing his sneakers. Of course, before buying them, you have to test them with sports socks. And do not hesitate when trying to walk and hop. The foot must be maintained but not compressed in a sports shoe.

The jogging version competition or leisure?
The frequency of running sessions,
their intensity (marathon or just for the pleasure of keeping fit) and their duration are crucial criteria. According to these parameters we will look for a basketball with more or less technicality, resistance and flexibility.

Our advice: when you run a long time, often and in different conditions (treadmill, outdoor, on the beach ...), it is better to invest in several pairs .
