Formed by the fashion team, the sports bag, with the look of a backpack, breaks records of style: graphic shapes, refined colors and ultra-elaborate materials ... Review of the spring-summer 2016 collections.

The declensions of the sports bag

Under the impulse of fashion brands, the very stiff sports bag gains more stylistic flexibility: boosted fantasy prints at Eastpak and Herschel Supply Co, heated girly colors at Adidas and Roxy ... While French houses ST Dupont and Pantheone play on national fervor, in this year of Euro 2016, with a blue- (almost) white-red pattern.

Other brands adopt a textile offensive to better tackle the trend of sportswear: 100% denim at American Apparel, gold lamé fabric at Faguo or even bi-leather at Moncler.

Another highlight is the sports backpack in the Adidas collection by Stella McCartney that combines futuristic aesthetics and high-tech materials with Olympic performance: waterproof and anti-wrinkle, all adorned with anthracite mesh.

Conversely, Le coq sportif, APC and Tommy Hilfiger are fair-minded, respecting the stylistic rules of the traditional sports bag: bungee shape, short handles and adjustable strap.

How to wear the sports bag?

Looks like sportwear injunctions in fashion shows have made their effect: no more need for a sporty total-look to sport the sports bag. One pushes the codes of the genre by associating it with a small dress, with minimalist accents, or the combo (a little) less casual tube-cropped top skirt. With all the same an imperative, the white sneakers to keep a certain consistency.
