I have clear skin, should I stay in the shade?

The least common phototype is zero. And for good reason, it is about people called "Albinos". They have a very strong predisposition to sunburn because their skin is very white, as their hair and their eyes. The women of this phototype can not expose themselves to the sun, under pain of leaving with severe burns.

Like phototype 0 , women of phototype I have very clear skin and therefore sensitive to sunburn. For them, sunbathing is a challenge. They must therefore opt for a 50 index at all times and protect themselves with a hat and long clothes.

People of phototype II have light skin . Whether for the face or the body, they use a 40 or 50 Index on a daily basis. To be tanned, some do not hesitate to cheat and apply self-tanning products.

I have matte skin, am I immune to UV?

In South America, the inhabitants have the skin neither clear nor dark : it is the phototype III . It can sunbathe easily but not to avoid sunburn.

There is, moreover, a contrario of Asia, a true cult of tanning. The more golden the better. The choice of FPS is therefore slightly revised downwards. One opts for an SPF 30 during the first exhibitions before passing on an SPF 15. The most appreciated texture? The oil, because it highlights the tan instantly.

In Asia, fashion is ultra white and uniform skin. Women, phototype IV flee the sun and prefer shade because they fear tanning or harvesting pigment spots. When women go out, they wear anti-UV clothing, hats and wide glasses. Some even dare the parasol.

Asians protect themselves daily with high levels of protection from the earliest age and even in the city.

I have dark skin, I do not need to protect myself?

In Africa, the majority of women are phototype V ( dark skin) . Like phototype III women, African women can catch sunburn if they do not protect themselves properly. But when exposed regularly their skin thickens and resists UV better.

Women of phototype VI have skin, eyes and black hair . Their epidermis has a very good tolerance to the sun and therefore requires only a small sun protection.
