Diane Dupré la Tour and Etienne Thouvenot created Les Petites Cantines to gather around a good meal neighbors who would do well to eat alone in front of their TV. Atmosphere assured!

The day everything started ...

"When I suddenly lost my husband, I took advantage of a tremendous surge of solidarity: all the neighbors supported me and that allowed me to get back on my feet," says Diane Dupré la Tour. "Feeling connected to others sometimes makes it easier to bounce back. However, 70% of city-dwellers acknowledge having already suffered from loneliness ... ". Forcibly, it makes you think. With his friend Etienne Thouvenot and a team, Diane has the idea to open a pilot neighborhood canteen in Lyon. Locals can come and cook, chat and share good food or coffee whenever they want. The meals (starter-main-dessert at the suggested price of 9 €) are prepared with local products and unsold , if possible organic; the welcome and the animation are assured by a master of house, trained and salaried, so that the guests feel like at home. And everyone puts their hands in the dough: who covered him, who the dishes ... Total success.

After that ?

Elderly or needy, students fresh out of the nest or divorced without a child every other week ... Everyone finds his happiness. The Small Canteens are open to all and multiply: 3 openings are already planned in Lyon, Lille and Dijon. And others should follow (the call for sponsors is launched).
