Saturday, May 17, 2014 , more than 1,300 French museums open their doors. A cultural rendezvous made in France now awaited in spring and an idea taken up by 3000 European museums. Music, theater, literature, gastronomy, cinema ... many animations will animate during this unique night, the corridors of the museums.
If some access is chargeable, the majority are free.

The objective is to showcase the treasures of our museums and to encourage everyone to discover our cultural heritage. All the arts will meet for the 2014 edition of La Nuit des musées . A good plan to discover with family and without paying a euro the most beautiful cultural places of France.

We are already revealing some unusual and unavoidable visits through France:

- Museum of Fabrics and Decorative Arts, Lyon (34, rue de la Charité): visit by candlelight
- Musée Saint-Raymond, Toulouse (1Ter place Saint-Germain): Les Acrostiches company invades the museum for a night under the sign of the circus
- Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Strasbourg (1 place Hans Jean Arp): discover the electroswing of DJ Kiwistar
- Jean Vilar House, Avignon (8, rue des Mons, Montée Paul Puaux): aperitif-theater
- The Museum of Fine Arts, Perpignan (16, rue de l'Ange): a visit by the ears of the museum closed to the eyes

A list of all participating museums and conditions is available on the website of La Nuit des musées. The 2014 edition will also continue on the Internet in a dynamic of sharing: we can exchange our favorites and our practical ideas via @LaNuitdesMusees on Twitter and Facebook page of the event.
