His stroke of genius

In 1921, Jacques Guerlain poured into Jicky a sample of synthetic vanilla and raised the oriental notes. He named it an Indian garden, the favorite place of legendary lovers, Princess Mumtaz-i Mahal and Shah Jahan, who built the Taj Mahal for her. At the Liberation, GI's were queuing at Guerlain to bring back from France this quintessence to their bride.

For who ?

Those who like real olfactory signatures. A fresh flight of citrus - bergamot and lemon - follows a wake capsizing flowers, vanilla and opoponax. He has his unconditional ones: a personality, which Guerlain protects anonymity, buys it in liters at the factory to fill his pool!

His bottle

Designed by Raymond Guerlain, it is inspired by the basins of the famous garden. Even its deep blue fan-shaped cap evokes a sublimated East.
