It says: the magic of Christmas blends perfectly with the delightfully absurd humor of Alain Chabat. In the program of his eighth feature film "Santa & Cie" Alain Chabat brings together Santa Claus in person, elves by the thousands, a tandem of cops (the Palmashow) and a French family who no longer believes in the magic of this Party…

After a long pause to "take a step back" from "On the trail of the Marsupilami" in 2012, Alain Chabat returns with "Santa & Cie" where he brings together Audrey Tautou, Pio Marmaï and Golshifteh Farahani but also Gregoire Ludig and David Marsais.

The pitch? Santa Claus more real nature, interpreted by the director, must descend to earth to find vitamin C, the only remedy that can heal its 92,000 elves fell mysteriously sick. Confronted with the urgency of the situation - December 24 approaching - and the discovery of a world much more hostile than he would have imagined from his little padded cottage, Santa Claus is not at the end of his sentences to preserve the magic of Christmas.

In the American vein of the end-of-the-year family comedy, Alain Chabat gives himself to his heart and has lost nothing of his "chabaesque" leg: he speaks to the reindeer, sometimes shows bad faith and plunges the viewer into situations as crazy as contemporary.

A special mention to the cast of two children Tara Lugassy and Simon Aouizerate, whose spontaneity adds to the quality of the comedy:

"They never knew what scene they were going to play and discovered the story as it was shot. The result is a mixture of dialogues written for them and propositions born of their imagination "explains Alain Chabat.

It spoils us with a family outing to the cinema, from Wednesday, which will make young and old laugh.
