What you need to know before embarking on natural coloring

The concept: For the past 10 years, George Bacon has been taking care of your hair naturally! In his salon Coiffure et Nature , no chemicals, we find natural pigments for plant coloring and if sometimes, he is forced to cheat to perfectly cover the white hair or to adapt to the nature of the hair of each, he does it without ammonia and with the lowest percentage of hydrogen peroxide possible (3-4% instead of 20% in a conventional coloring)!

The motto of this show: The more natural it is , the better!

The setting : Slipped between the calm of the Place des Vosges and the bustle of the Place de la Bastille , the Salon Coiffure et Nature can from outside merge with a florist! Inside, it has been designed as a living-apartment: a single room not very large, exposed beams, leather chairs ... it feels like home!

What you need to know before embarking on plant coloring: It is impossible to lighten the hair with a natural color, it is confined to tone on tone or to darken the hair up to 2-3 tones.

The plant coloring covers the white hair by transparency, everything will depend on their nature. It is necessary to try at least once to see how the hair reacts! If they really do not respond properly to natural pigments, George Bacon can cheat lightly and make a coloring with soft chemistry to have better hold and coverage of white hair.

100% natural, the plant color acts as a care , it is composed solely of pigments and moisturizing care for the hair, it brings shine and warm reflections to the hair!

The course of natural coloring

Before going to the baccalaureate, our tester explains that she wants a natural result but that covers well her few white hair at the roots. The chosen option is to make a soft chemistry staining on the roots and a plant coloration on the rest of the lengths.

The colorist rinses the hair of our tester and starts with the roots. She explains that the soft chemistry stain does not contain ammonia and has only 3 to 4% concentration of oxygenated water when the standard stains contain 20%.

Then, she prepares in a small bowl the mixture for the vegetable coloring. With great dexterity, our expert in natural color blends pigments with the sweet name of cocoa, curry or red pepper (this corresponds to the color of the pigment not its component) with a moisturizer. She then applies it on the hair. A slight scent of spinach spreads discreetly into the room, no more smell of ammonia!

After 24 minutes of installation, it is necessary to thoroughly rinse the hair and proceed to a shampoo for colored hair to remove all product residues.

The result of natural coloring

The result: A brushing later, our tester has a younger than 10 years: the white hair at the roots are perfectly covered and the lengths are brilliant and radiant with health!

Most of the plant coloring: No root effect! The plant color is not a permanent color, the color will disgorge each shampoo and if it is necessary to redo it every month and a half, it is impossible to have the unsightly effect of regrowth!

Some tips for keeping the plant coloring:

It is necessary to choose a shampoo for hair colored with fruit acids, at least for the first shampoos.

Avoid doing a vegetable coloring before going on vacation , with attacks of sea water or pool and shampoos repetition, the color will not hold.

Do as little shampoo as possible: as the color breaks down each time you wash your hair, the less shampoo you do, the more color you'll hold! A shampoo every 4 days is ideal.

For who ? Followers of 100% natural, pregnant women who can not do traditional colorations, and those who do not dare to pass the course of coloring, since the plant fades over shampoos.
