«The beautiful journey of the Little Prince»: a collection made in La Monnaie de Paris

From March 21, 2016, La Monnaie de Paris launches a series of coins and medals around the work of the writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Le Petit Prince . The pieces exist in gold, silver, colored silver and retrace the course of the eponymous character across the regions of France . On the opposite side, Le Petit Prince is one of the flagship activities of the region visited. He travels in 24 different places in France. For example, on the coin "Fishing at Mont Saint-Michel", the little blond character with a red scarf, fishing in front of the Mont Saint-Michel, the great medieval Norman city.

To buy one of the silver collector coins, it will cost 10 €. With a total circulation of 1,500,000 copies, the series will be available in French post offices, tobacconist's offices , the Monnaie de Paris shop and on its website . A second collection of 12 pieces around the Little Prince will be released on September 26, 2016 .
