IN LIFE, at the frontiers of design: the design expo of the month

Once again, the EDF Foundation innovates in this summer of 2013 and proposes a journey in the design of the future. Envy, on the borders of design an exhibition to see to better imagine our near future.

The Espace de la Fondation EDF has brought together the achievements of artisan designers who practice a quiet revolution, that of bio-mimicry.

These designers and architects of a new kind observe and inspire the mechanisms of nature to find innovative technical solutions. Because yes, nature is the oldest research laboratory. It opened 3.8 billion years ago.

Creative designer craftsmen who invent our future :
- Mitchell Joachim proposes to grow his house. How? By grafting on a tree a prefabricated structure that will grow with it.
- Phill Ross makes him push chairs from mushrooms.
- Suzanne Lee cultivates shoes from small bacteria.

Their art: adopt the solutions found by nature to contemporary engineering problems in order to develop consumer products for all. A true ecological and ethical reflection.
Envy, on the borders of design is to live a magical moment in the world of design of the future without moving Paris.
