Rape, the aftermath

As in a mirror game at the Dorian Gray where the young woman surprised in the mirror - after the rape - the reflection of her eternally swollen face, the director brings us into the intimacy of this young woman for whom the rape is' is that the first stage of a long calvary: that of reconstruction.

" I am always beautiful " invites us to see the deep but not invisible sequelae of rape through days, months, even years ... For this woman, the will to remain beautiful is an act of courage to go beyond rape and move towards healing.

Armed with courage, she does not want to be "tainted" by the criminal act of which she was the object:

I am and will always remain beautiful. We are all beautiful

Concluded

A way of fighting the too frequent guilt suffered by the victims, and not to leave the last word to his attackers, that is the psychic wound.
