Hot waxing is a technique widely used in the institute and at home. Simple, fast and efficient, it is also very economical.

The hot wax is usually in the form of balls or pebbles to melt in the microwave or water bath. But it is also found in the form of pots to warm, or roll-on to facilitate its application.

How to wax with hot wax?

It is spread in a thick layer (but not too wide) using a wooden spatula. Once the layer of wax is applied, it is waited a few tens of seconds that the wax dries, then one raises one end and one pulls with a dry blow, in the direction of the hair.

No need to use a strip of paper or cloth: the wax leaves all alone, and our hair with it.

Hot waxing: the benefits

The heat of the wax makes it possible to dilate the pores of the skin and thus to tear off the hair more easily. All while decreasing the sensation of pain.

Hot wax is the most effective way to get rid of hair. It is ideal for waxing legs, bikini line or underarms, and even for the face, unless the skin is thin and fragile.

Another good point: thanks to the hot wax, we are quiet for 3 to 4 weeks.

The inconvenients

Hot waxing is not recommended for varicose veins or circulation problems. In these cases, warm or cold wax is more appropriate.

Beware of the temperature of the wax: too hot, it can cause burns, but too cold, it does not tear the hair well. Today, there are roll-on electric reheating that keep the wax at a constant temperature.

Hot wax: how to delay regrowth?

The day before hair removal, make a scrub on all areas to be depilated. The skin will be prepared, and we will avoid the risk of ingrown hairs or small pimples.
