H & M and MIA, made in recycling

To inaugurate the first global recycling week from 18 to 24 April 2016 , this week's initiator, H & M, has set a goal of collecting 1,000 tons of clothing . And to help her with this heavy task, the British singer MIA made a video for H & M, showing the environmental impact of garments ending up in public dumps. Bloggers also wanted to show their support by appearing in the MIA video. Subsequently, they will stage a mini-series "rehaul movies" to show the pieces created from recycled clothing.

The MIA video will be online at hm.com on April 11, 2016 .

And for those who want to show their participation on social networks at World Recycling Week, a hashtag already exists: #HMrehaul to show via videos, their contribution in reducing the environmental impact.

H & M, master in garment recycling

Since 2013, H & M has initiated a garment collection program in its stores. The idea is simple, we bring back his old clothes of any brand, size and condition (yes yes even the old socks holed) in a H & M store against vouchers of 5 € not bag of 3 pieces, valid in the H & M shops. Then, the clothing brand recycles them and creates new textile fibers for a second life. H & M's Conscious series is a fine example of these second-life clothes. By 2013, H & M had already harvested over 25,000 tons of clothing .
