From the traditional ham-butter to the refined dishes of the great restaurants to the brasseries , bistros and fast food , gastronomy is at the heart of the French SNCF railway stations . Indeed, the latter are no longer just places of passage but real meeting places where local shops and major international brands meet.

It is therefore with a view to discovering the diversity of the culinary offer of the stations to the greatest number that the operation Gares Gourmandes returns for a third consecutive year, from 2 to 18 October 2015 . And the event takes place in 2 stages.

Local craftsmen pack their bags at railway stations

The Gares Gourmandes festival is organized by SNCF Gares & Connexions in partnership with the Chamber of Crafts and Crafts . For the occasion, dozens of hand-crafted artisans will install during the whole operation, stands in stations to highlight the products of our regions.

On the menu: Caen de la Boucherie Sabot in Caen station, Charlouro macaroons in Dijon station, dry cakes from Bruno Desroses in Poitiers station, confectionery from Bouchon de Bordeaux in Bordeaux station ... and many other tastings of local products and animations around the local products. This allows us to pass the time faster until the departure of our train!

Travelers from 8 major SNCF stations will also have the chance to be surprised by the culinary audacity of 11 Michelin-starred chefs. Every day, from Friday 2 to Friday 9 October 2015, chefs cooked by large houses or revealed in culinary TV shows participate in the edition Gares Gourmandes 2015:
