The California sweep what is it exactly?

" The technique has always existed at Dessange, it's the famous Californian sweep! Explains Charlotte. It is a return to nature with a melted effect at the root level without regular demarcation as the tie and dye . It is the famous sunburn on the hair as at the return of the holidays! Perfect for a golden and luminous effect on the lengths while assuming its roots!

How's it going ?

  • Either we keep its natural color or rework its base with a tone-on-tone (with a low percentage of oxidation) to cover the white hair . Hot pigments can be added to bring out the shine.
  • The coloring is stretched with a comb in an irregular fashion to be able to make the connection between the two colors as naturally as possible.
  • Brush the lightening product onto the surface as smoothly as possible, then smooth the little finger up towards the base to create the melted effect without demarcation.
  • The brightening on the tips is accentuated. Then after 20 minutes of break time we go to the tank to rinse!

Who is the California sweep for?

The Californian sweep , not to be confused with the Californian blond is suitable for all skin tones! We can go from brown to blond without problem as Kim Kardashian that we preferred when she was blonde a few months ago!

Note: If you have fine hair know that the longer the lengths are clear less there is volume! This is perfect for thinning thick hair .

  • The advice make up:

We must be vigilant side make up and prefer warm tones like Kim Kardashian (brown, brown, copper, gold ...) to be in association with his hair color. Cold colors like blue, green or pink are avoided.

How to maintain his Californian sweep?

The advantage with the Californian sweep is that there is little or no maintenance. For those who have white hair, just cover them by resuming the color of the base. To bring shine to the lengths you can also ask your hairdresser for a shampoo made to measure with pigments.

  • Tip for retouching at home:

If you want to cover your base with a homemade color, prefer them without ammonia and use oils or a hair cream to coat and protect the lengths so that at the time of rinsing the dark color do not come to fade the lightening.
