Before embarking on a hair removal, it is necessary to prepare the area to be treated with care.

The day before, we make a scrub and moisturize to avoid ingrown hairs and soften the skin, which will be easier to depilate. If the hairs are very long, they are cut so that they are less than one centimeter long. Otherwise, they may break during hair removal instead of tearing themselves apart.

To obtain the desired shirt shape , it can be drawn with a pencil.

Bikini waxing: choose your technique

The depilation of the jersey is often considered delicate because it is the most painful. The skin is very sensitive, the hairs thicker than on other parts of the body: it is therefore necessary to choose carefully its hair removal technique.

The most recommended is the waxing hot , because it dilates the pores of the skin and facilitates the tearing of the hair. It is the most effective technique on thick hair and it guarantees three weeks of softness. On the contrary, warm or cold wax is not recommended because it hangs less well, and is more painful.

The depilation of the jersey step by step

  • We always start by disinfecting the skin to prevent infections, which include the appearance of small pimples.
  • To avoid excessive pulling on the skin during hair removal, we can apply a little talc: thus, the wax will catch the hair without tugging the skin.
  • Before applying hot wax, check its temperature to avoid any risk of burning during application. The hot wax makes it possible to draw perfectly the shape of the desired shirt.
  • Once applied to the skin, let it dry for a few seconds before tearing, making a reverse movement of the direction of hair growth: from the bottom to the top.

Professional advice: avoid making more than two waxings on the same area, otherwise the skin will be damaged. If some recalcitrant hair remains, we finish our hair removal with a carefully disinfected tweezers. Once our hair removal is complete, we disinfect again our skin and apply generously a soothing moisturizer.
