"We are told that the body must be strengthened, that it must sweat and sweat. So, to get in shape, you get on your bike, hang on the espalier, run out of steam, jog, grab the dumbbells. What we should do is first open our eyes and take the time to look at our body to understand how it works, "says Thérèse Bertherat, founder of Antigymnastique®. As a physiotherapist by training, she has thought of another way than sports to keep you in shape. And as the name suggests, nothing to do with gymnastics!

Antigymnastique®: a new method of well-being

Antigymnastic ® is a method of well - being that has nothing to do with indoor sports or even with yoga . It is rather an anti-stress technique in which practitioners perform relaxation movements. During a session of Antigymnastique® , the teacher proposes to the participants, postures and movements without ever imposing them. These movements, respectful of the body, are adapted to the physiology of each of us. The goal of an Antigymnastique® session: learn to know your body better and to make it your own. This discipline is not considered a sport strictly speaking, but more like a technique of relaxation and stretching of the muscles.
