Waxing :

Oriental wax :

Use: The principle is to remove the hair with a kind of wax ball that you can make yourself! You simply have to take two large ladles of sugar, to mix with the equivalent of half a glass of water. Bring this mixture to a boil to obtain a brown caramel paste. Pour a small lemon juice, then add 2 tablespoons of honey. Soak all this mixture in cold water until the dough turns into a ball. You just have to roll this dough in the form of a ball on the zones to be depilated .

Precautions: This technique is recommended for people who have sensitive skin or have problems with the veins.

Advantages: Oriental wax can be applied all over the body .

Disadvantages: The hair must be at least 3 mm long so that the wax can pull it off. The wax can also cause the appearance of ingrown hairs. Oriental hair removal takes time, so think about freeing yourself ... count at least two hours for an entire leg, waist and underarm hair removal.

Hot wax :

Use: You need resin balls which you will then put in the bain-marie so that the product turns into wax fluid. Care must be taken with the temperature, it must not exceed 40 ° to promote the fluidification of the resin. Distribute the wax on the areas to be depilated with a spatula in the direction of the hair. Wait a few moments for the wax to cool and then rip the wax abruptly in the opposite direction to the hair growth.

Precautions: This type of epilation should not be performed if the skin is irritated or infected . It is also advisable to apply a softening product afterwards.

Advantages: This technique is effective to remove hair and allows to pull them up to the root so to delay the regrowth period. The wax residues are rinsed with lukewarm water .

Disadvantages: The heat produced by the wax facilitates epilation but also causes small lymphatic and capillary vessels to burst . This method should be avoided for people with eczema as well as those with fragile skin.

Cold wax :

Use: It is available as a gel or paste distributed on ready-to-use tapes . It attaches to the hair at room temperature. The strips are heated in the hollow of the hand and applied to the areas to be epilated.

Precautions: Precautions are the same as for hot and oriental waxing.

Advantages: This technique is fast and convenient , especially when traveling. This wax does not leave in the water, it is necessary to apply a body fat to eliminate the residues. Like other waxes the hair does not grow back for 3 or 4 weeks.

Disadvantages: This method is well suited for the legs , however it is less suited to the jersey and underarms.
