The story
11.22.63 plunges us into a real journey through time. The story is that of Jake Epping (interpreted by James Franco), a professor of English just divorced, who will discover that one of his friends, Al Templeton (Chris Cooper) has managed to open a temporal portal. The latter will therefore push him to travel in time with a goal: to use his knowledge of history to prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy. And so, change the future, avoiding the war in Vietnam.
Why do we look at 11.22.63?
Just for his casting, this series is worth the detour. In the lead role, we find James Franco. True chameleon, the actor is also able to plunge into dramatic roles ( Harvey Milk, 127 hours ) as well as in comedies ( The interview that kills, It is the end ). Here, he embarks on a doubly epic mission: traveling in time and changing the future.
Of course, it is not the only star in the cast: he co-starred with Sarah Gadon (Belle, Dracula Untold), Cherry Jones (American Crime), TR Knight (Gray's Anatomy) and Chris Cooper (in Memory skin, The Man whispering in the ear of horses ).

11.22.63: What did we like?
The journey through time is definitely a theme that inspires. Archi known in Doctor Who , it was evoked in several novelties, such as Timeless . But if the usual goal is not to touch the past too much to avoid repercussions in the future, here is the opposite. What gives a particularly interesting treatment, and to the potential seducer: who has never dreamed of traveling in time to save a hero, or stop the rise of a dictator?
Inspired by the novel of the same name by Stephen King, the series has found the suspense inherent to the book, to transpose it on the screen. With the author himself as a delegated producer, one obtains, necessarily, a guarantee of quality. Especially since the latter is accompanied by JJ Abrams , to whom we owe the series Lost , a part of the films Star Trek , and Star Wars VII: The Reveil of the Force. This adept at complex universes is particularly demanding, and the projects on which he always works of quality.
