Jo-Wilfried Tsonga claims he is in "good shape" as he faces a tough challenge to try and win the ATP Rogers Cup in Montreal next week.

The 32-year-old Frenchman goes into the tournament facing a tricky early game against either Sam Querrey and Gilles Muller, who have both recently defeated him at Wimbledon and in the Aegon Championships respectively.

Querrey went on to dump reigning champion Andy Murray out of Wimbledon on his way to the semi-finals, while Muller successfully claimed the title in Eastbourne.

Therefore both players will represent a difficult obstacle for Tsonga, who is remaining confident as he looks to repeat his 2014 success in the Rogers Cup when he defeated top-10 players Novak Djokovic, Murray, Grigor Dimitrov and Roger Federer on his way to lifting the title in Toronto.

Looking ahead to it, Tsonga told the ATP website: "I'm feeling good. I'm in good shape. I did a good start this season. I won three tournaments, and today I'm still in the game to play a Masters.

"For me it's a big challenge to play here in Montreal, try to beat these guys and try to get some important [ATP Rankings] points for the end of the season."
