In their book Associating Flavors and Health, it is possible to have Dr. Jacques Fricker, nutritionist at Bichat Hospital and Chairman of the Steering Committee Oh my Food! and Anne Deville Cavellin, a dietitian , provide an update on foods that are good for you and those with a bad reputation.

The former are not miracles but they can protect our heart, our brain and increase our defenses to fight against cancer .

These are: fruits and vegetables (which must be present every day at each of our meals), fish (especially fats for their richness in omega 3 ), olive oil, nuts, and rapeseed, bread complete, dairy rich in calcium but also pulses and foods of cereal origin, finally, spices and herbs.

Foods with a bad reputation do not only have negative effects, because they contain good nutrients that, ingested in limited quantities , do not degrade our health or even our line. Let's do a check in :

- Delicatessen: it is possible to consume one to two times a week to replace the meat. Always favor rabbit pie or ham with rillettes and other sausages which are very fat, (saturated fat) and very salty.

- Fresh cream and butter: against all odds they are excellent for the heart and brain . Always choose olive or rapeseed oil.

- The cooked dishes all ready: it is essential to accompany them with salad or vegetables because they are often lacking. Being too salty, limit their consumption to the maximum.

- Red meat: 2 to 3 low fat pieces of 100g per week are recommended. They will bring you good proteins , zinc and selenium iron . When cooking, do not grill or barbecue them too often and marry them with vegetables.

- The sweet: they have more well done than it seems! Sugar intake leads to endorphin production that lessens our physical and mental ailments . It should not be deprived but divide equitably over a week and not exceed the following quantities: 2 or 3 glasses of sodas, a pastry, a bar of chocolate ...
