Since 2012, cosmetic labs have initiated a transition process and are finally starting to release varnishes less loaded with petrochemical derivatives. And it is by adopting, posing after laying, these green varnishes that the change is seen on the health and beauty of our nails. Ready to go green? We give you our opinion on "green" varnishes.

The Forerunner: Kure Bazaar

Kure Bazaar is the first in France to take up the challenge. Since then, the cosmetics brand has established itself as the undisputed leader in eco-friendly varnish thanks to its "4 free" philosophy. Today, Kure Bazaar has gone to the "5 free" : exit synthetic camphor, toluene, fomaldhéhyde and dibutyl phthalate and triphenyl phosphate, responsible for our soft, split, striated or stained nails! In their place, 85% of natural ingredients : pulp wood, cotton, corn or potatoes.

Verdict: Question brush , it "worships" perfectly regardless of the size of the nail. Same for covering, in two layers the color of this eco-friendly varnish is nickel. And the drying time is very similar to that of a conventional varnish. For holding , the varnish lasts as long as a "classic" varnish. Only surprise: the green varnish smells of varnish !

The beauty plan : invest in the Kure Bazaar Clean base, a protective shield that reinforces the resistance of the nails. It can be placed under any varnish you already have in your bathroom.

Kure Bazaar varnish, 16 € (the 10 ml).

The DIY: Aroma Zone

Aroma-Zone , "the natural expert in care and beauty" offers a varnish with at least 85% ingredients of vegetable origin . Toluene, formaldehyde, phthalates, synthetic camphor, rosin and xylene are black-listed. Result? A "6 free" varnish whose base is of vegetable origin with derivatives of potato, cassava, wheat and corn. Available in early 2017, the Aroma-Zone ecological varnish is available in 7 colors, from nude beige to plum, and a top coat.

Verdict: For this varnish too, the outfit is similar to a "classic" varnish, just like the odor. The application is easy. We validate!

The good plan beauty: Adept DIY ? You can make your own ecological varnishes at Aroma-Zone by buying the plant pigments (radish, elder, sweet potato) and the solvent and mixing them to obtain a unique and homemade color ... for a very reasonable price.

Aroma Varnish Zone, between 2,90 € and 3,50 € (the 6 ml).

The "water" alternative: Namaki

Water-based, solvent-free and odor-free, Namaki varnishes belong to the category "6 free" ... and are very easy to apply. And it is not because they are in the water that they deprive themselves. There is a choice of colors. From the most pop and original to the most classical, there is necessarily the color that we like. The novelty ? Kits consisting of 3 varnishes and 1 file.

Verdict: Good surprise smell side since this varnish with water is odorless . Top for those who bear badly the strong odor of the varnish. We also like the side "peelable" of this varnish which allows us to quickly release a manicure not clear. Convenient.

The good plan beauty : It is the varnish that can be shared with the youngest. Our daughters, granddaughters, nieces and even nephew will be able to enjoy without fear with this varnish. A nice moment of conviviality in sight!

Namaki varnish: 6 € / Kit 3 varnish 1 lime: 17 €.

The long-lasting version: the semi-permanent organic varnish

Not want to multiply the retouching? We opt for the semi-permanent organic varnish . It can be done in an institute or at home. Based on a 100% medical gel that does not dye nails, solvent-free varnish or acid, LED lamp and solvent with a minimum of acetone, the promises of the permanent varnish Marinho Paris (which does not have the organic label but whose products approach it) make us dream.

We tested it and we give you our opinion on the organic semi-permanent varnish.
