In France, waste is not just food . We would also throw away nearly 470,000 tonnes of textiles every year in the garbage *. Only 25% of textiles, shoes and linen would be recycled every year and 60% of the French would have clothes that they never wear. Based on this principle, Empty Dressing Week is an eco-responsible operation which aims to make us aware of the second life of our clothes and textiles. The principle is simple: from 17 to 31 March 2016 , the independent French fashion boutiques participating in the Vide Dressing Week take charge of collecting, storing and delivering to Emmaus France the clothes we want to separate. T-shirts, pajamas , jeans, coats , shoes ... all clothes are recycled, even if they have worn. Only condition: they are in fairly good condition, clean, dry and attached shoes in pairs.
