Products to be deposited in recycling containers

Cartons and paper : newspapers, papers; milk-type packages (only if they are clean!) ...

The glass : all your glass containers, including the vestiges of your spouse's nights (do not clean them!) ...

Metal : scrap metal, aluminum, tin cans (empty!) ... not to mention aerosols (stars in our bathrooms), and cans!

Plastic : empty bottles without caps (Deposit them with Les Bouchons d'Amour association: you will allow them to buy wheelchairs for those who need them: www.bouchonsdamour.com ) ...

Waste that requires special treatment

Chemicals : to be deposited in a dump, let it be said for itself!

Batteries : Since 2001, it is forbidden to dispose of used batteries in the dumpster; collection points are available in supermarkets, some neighborhood traders, and even in offices, so think twice before you outlaw!

Bulky items : bedding, furniture, toilets, computers ... They are often picked up by appointment with the town hall services. If you renew your equipment in household appliances, know that the seller is required to recover your old equipment if you wish.

Printer cartridges : instead of hiding them in the bottom of your 50-liter trash bag, hoping that no one will notice them, check out www.recyclagesolidaire.org ; you will see that they too are entitled to a second life!

Clothes : too often deposited among recyclable products, the clothes excluded from our wardrobes are nevertheless entitled to their own network of recovery: terminals of Secours Populaire , Relais , Aide et Action , Emmaus will be a pleasure to swallow them! (Same for toys!)

Medications : packaging, half-full boxes and instructions are to be given exclusively to your pharmacist. Waste generated by household medicines represents around 70,000 tonnes per year, or 0.3% of household waste ( Source: Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development ).

X-rays , phytosanitary products , mirrors , windows , neon lights , tableware and rubble : on the go!

The special case of bulbs : LED bulbs are to be disposed of with care: information on the sites www.recylum.co m and www.malampe.org
