The ice rink of the Grand Palais, Ice Place to be for the 2014 holidays
Paris and the Grand Palais reiterate. For the 2nd time, young and old will be able to put on the skates to launch on the ice ... of the largest skating rink in the world. The Grand Palais des Glaces event will take place from December 14, 2014 to January 4, 2015.
The Grand Palais version ice rink, the 5 unusual figures
- This ephemeral skating rink will not make less than 2700m2 of ice . In comparison, an Olympic ice rink has an area of 1800 m2.
- 3000 pairs of ice skates are available for Parisians and tourists who will slip on the ice of the Grand Palais.
- To succeed in the challenge of this biggest skating rink in the world, 250 m3 of water will be transformed into ice.
- 350 km of refrigerating pipes are installed in the Grand Palais compound to ensure quality ice.
- 100 people will be at the disposal of budding skaters.
Skating and gluttony at the Grand Palais
After this exceptional skating session, head for the Ferrero Rocher space to succumb to the pleasure of chocolate. The brand, partner of the Grand Palais des Glaces, will distribute every 2 hours of the Ferrero to the skaters. This ephemeral shop is also the occasion to buy pyramids of Ferrero specially designed for the occasion.

Practical info for a moment of gliding at the Grand Palais
Opening hours: daily from 10 am to 8 pm
Daily rates: 15 € for adults, 10 € for children under 12 and free for children under 3 years old.
