Five months after the revelations of sexual assault against the film producer, Harvey Weinstein , the American luxury brand Marchesa , co-founded by the wife of the latter, has decided to cancel its parade spring-summer 2018.  

A last-minute decision, the British Georgina Chapman and her partner Keren Craig having initially planned to maintain the show on February 14, as it has since its debut in 2006, for the New York Fashion Week .  

A spokesperson for the house has declared, without any other form of explanation, that it will be thereafter the autumn-winter 2018-2019 collection that will be presented in a "renewed format".

Celebrated by celebrities, the luxury brand was in spite of itself at the heart of the controversy that has shaken Hollywood since the fall of 2017. On the sidelines of accusations of sexual violence, it had indeed been mentioned that some actresses, Felicity Huffman and Sienna Miller, allegedly forced by Weinstein to wear a Marchesa dress on the red carpet. A practice like blackmail confirmed by many personalities, like Eva Longoria and Jessica Chastain .  

A few days after the first allegations against the Hollywood tycoon, Georgina Chapman , publicly announced that she was leaving her husband.
