On Wednesday, January 7, 2015, two hooded and heavily armed men burst into the headquarters of the satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo.
12 people including 4 famous designers (Wolinski, Charb, Cabu and Tignous) and 2 policemen fell under the gales of Kalashnikov.

Thursday, January 8 is then declared "day of national mourning", the first since September 11, 2001.
The French flags are at half-mast following the attack at Charlie Hebdo.

Since then, solidarity has been increasing. The number 1178 of Charlie Hebdo comes out surrounded by a general solidarity, in France as at the international.
