No, we do not choose his barbecue in a hurry! From the 5 € disposable barbecue to the ultra sophisticated barbecue at 3,000 €, the barbecue market is vast. And we are very many to be fond of it.

According to a study conducted in February 2014 by The Observatory of outdoor recreation:

- 75% of French people want a barbecue when the good weather arrives.
- 42% of French plebiscite a "barbecue to do everything".
- And 1 in 2 French dreams of a barbecue that is easy to clean.

So, what are the good criteria to consider when you want to buy your barbecue?

Criterion 1 to choose its barbecue: Energy

Coal, gas, electric, wood ... First of all, we define the energy we want our barbecue to work.

- The charcoal barbecue and the wood barbecue are more convivial : the time of the ignition is longer, one takes advantage of it to take the aperitif. To take into account: the charcoal brings a particular aroma to the cooking. As for wood, it is the energy that reaches the highest heat, between 700 and 800 °.

- The electric barbecue : practical for those who live in apartment for example and who are subject to the ban to own one. Like a microwave, a coffee maker or a vacuum cleaner, the electric barbecue is an electrical device like the others that can be used wherever you want.
To take into account: the cost of electricity that undeniably, is more expensive than coal and the lower heat of the electric barbecue.

- The gas barbecue , described as " comfortable ": faster than other barbecues in terms of ignition and very easily adjustable, a single button to adjust the temperature.

Criterion 2: The cooking surface

Round, square, rectangular ... The shapes of the cooking surfaces are as varied as their sizes and diameters. To know that barbecues generally start at 25 or 30 cm in diameter to reach much larger surfaces, 60 to 80 cm.

The trick to choose the cooking surface of your barbecue: if you are 5 at home, you double the number . Result: we invest in a barbecue that allows us to cook for 10 people. So, no problem to invite friends to a barbecue party!

Criterion 3: our personal habits also count when choosing a barbecue

Last but not least, our barbecue must look like us ! The question to ask: what do we want to do with our barbecue?

Now, you can do almost anything with its barbecue: pizza stone, wok, plancha ... If you want to spend the summer to grill merguez and chipolatas , no need to invest in a barbecue ultra sophisticated.
