"Crepe de Chine", a mythical creation
The reputation of "Crêpe de Chine" of the Millot house is no longer to be done. An emblematic fragrance from the interwar years, it was able to envelop the women with its lively fragrances in sensuality. Born to disappear in 1968, it managed to retain a dominant position in the classics of perfumery.

"Crêpe de Chine", an enveloping scent
In 1925, Jean Desprez, great-grandson of Felix Millot, created what would become the flagship perfume of the Roaring Twenties. How to seduce these women damaged by the First World War and eager to shine by their femininity? Gentleness and poetry mixed with an almost masculine vivacity give this unique juice all its evocative subtlety. In the top notes, bergamot, neroli, orange and lemon start a first direct and frontal approach to give way to a powdery odor with very floral heart notes. Finally, a very natural and woody background finishes this masterpiece with its suave and stony smell that never ceases to evaporate on the skin.

"Crêpe de Chine", a mythical perfume
For the creation of this perfume, nothing has been left to chance: the dosage of the components of an exemplary precision, the name chosen, as for each product of the Millot house, with great care, poetic and mysterious, and flacon, like an almost crude diamond sublimated by a superb ocher liquid. The success of "Crêpe de Chine" persists until the 1960s, and disappears at the closure of the company. However, desiring to preserve this juice in the heritage of perfumery, one of the heirs of the Millot family asks for the reconstitution of this perfume disappeared. The latter is now the throne of Versailles in its versions of bottles declined by the greatest. A beautiful tribute to this classic that has gone through decades without its success belied.
