4 pestle and 4 top of chicken leg
800 g of mirabelle plums
1 white onion
30 g of blanched almonds
1 tbsp. to s. honey
2 stars of badiane
1 tbsp. to c. powdered cumin
2 pinches of cinnamon powder
2 pinches of ras-el-hanout

Steps

Step 1

In advance. In a casserole, fry the chicken with a drizzle of oil until it is golden brown. Salt, pepper, reserve.

2nd step

Meanwhile. Wash and pit plums, cut in half.

Step 3

Cook. In the chicken casserole, fry the minced onion and almonds with a little olive oil. Add the spices, mix.

Cover and cook on low heat for 5 minutes before adding honey and chicken pieces. Wet with 20 cl of hot water, cover and let simmer for 20 minutes. Add the mirabelle mumps, mix gently and continue cooking under the lid for another 20 minutes. Serve this tajine hot.

tips

The mirabelle. That of Lorraine benefits from a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) which guarantees a tasty fruit, picked at maturity. In winter, you can make this recipe with frozen mirabelle mumps.

I organize myself. The tajine can be prepared in advance, simply warm it gently in the casserole or in the oven at 150 ° C (theory 5).
