ingredients

10 leaves of filo
400 g of walnut kernels
1 tbsp. to s. liquid honeycomb
3 tbsp. to s. of orange blossom water
2 tbsp. to s. lemon
120 g of butter
30 g 120 g of sugar

Equipment

1 propeller robot
1 large bowl
Kitchen scissors
1 brush
1 large rectangular baking dish or 1 non-stick baking tray

Steps

Step 1

Prepare : crush the nuts to the robot, in 4 sets so as not to chop them too thin. In the bowl, mix nuts, 30 g sugar, honey. Melt the butter over very low heat in a small saucepan.

2nd step

Assemble : Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (Th.4). Cut the package of filo leaves into 2 to have 20 rectangles of approx. 20 x 30 cm. Butter 6 rectangles with a brush on one side, stack them in the dish, buttered side up. Spread 1/3 of the nuts on top. Cover with 3 buttered rectangles, then half of the remaining walnuts, put 3 buttered rectangles, spread the remaining walnuts. Cover with remaining 8 buttered rectangles. Cut into 5 cm squares. Bake 20-25 minutes.

Step 3

During this time : heat 120 g sugar, 2 dl water and lemon over very low heat. When the sugar is melted, boil 1 min. Take off the fire, add the orange blossom. Take the baklava out of the oven, spread the syrup. Wait until the baklava has drunk everything.

tips

Variants. • Nuts are replaced by almonds or pistachios. • Rose water replaces orange blossom. • Mingle cinnamon with nuts.
